VA tests 'Notched Noise' to quiet Veterans' ringing ears
NCT ID NCT04661995
Summary
This study is testing whether a special sound therapy can reduce the loudness and impact of tinnitus, the constant ringing or buzzing in the ears that affects many Veterans. Researchers will give 108 participants small ear devices that play different types of background noise for 8 weeks to see which one best quiets the tinnitus. The goal is to find an evidence-based treatment to help people manage this often-distressing condition.
