Moderna tests mRNA shots to stop stomach bug outbreaks

NCT ID NCT05992935

Summary

This study is testing two new mRNA vaccines, mRNA-1403 and mRNA-1405, designed to prevent norovirus, a common cause of severe stomach flu. It will involve about 1,400 healthy adults aged 18 to 80 to check if the vaccines are safe and if they trigger a good immune response. The research is in early-to-mid stages (Phase 1/2) and is currently not recruiting new participants.
