Healthy brain vein pressures measured to unlock IIH mystery
NCT ID NCT03948971
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study aims to measure normal pressures in the brain's veins in people who do not have Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH). Ten participants already scheduled for a brain angiogram for other reasons will have additional pressure readings taken during their procedure. The goal is to establish a baseline of normal pressures, which could help doctors better understand and treat IIH, a condition causing headaches and vision problems due to high brain pressure.
