Poles for hearts: could nordic walking be a better cardiac rehab?

Summary

This small pilot study is testing if a special exercise program combining high-intensity interval training with Nordic walking (using poles) is a good alternative for people with coronary artery disease. The goal is to see if this whole-body workout is feasible and can improve physical fitness, quality of life, and mood better than standard rehab exercises. The study involves 40 participants who have had a stent or bypass surgery.
