Walking sticks for healing: can group walks help older evacuees recover?
NCT ID NCT06404216
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a group Nordic walking program could help older adults who were evacuated from their homes due to war. The program involved twice-weekly guided walks for two months, using special walking poles. Researchers wanted to see if this activity could improve participants' physical fitness, mood, and overall well-being after the trauma of displacement.
