Pole power: simple walking aid tested to smooth out limps in kids
NCT ID NCT05644652
Summary
This study tested if Nordic walking—walking with special poles—could improve walking patterns in children with cerebral palsy who have weakness on one side of their body. Researchers worked with 40 children, aged 6 to 10, to see if using the poles to engage their upper body would help them walk more evenly and smoothly. The goal was to find a simple, physical activity-based way to ease a common movement difficulty.
