Summary

This study looked at the best way to use drug-eluting stents (small mesh tubes) to open blocked heart arteries that have a side branch. It compared stenting both the main artery and the side branch versus stenting only the main artery and treating the side branch if needed. The trial included 413 people with chest pain and followed them for heart-related events like heart attack or repeat procedures.
