Kids' elbow surgery pain: do opioids beat nonopioids?

Summary
This study looked at whether nonopioid pain medicines work as well as opioids for children after surgery for a broken elbow. 137 children aged 4 to 10 took part. Families rated their child's pain daily for 5 days after surgery. The goal was to find a safe, effective pain plan that avoids opioids.
