First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a pain management plan without opioids can control pain just as well as one that includes opioids after shoulder replacement surgery. About 83 adults having shoulder replacement will be randomly assigned to receive either the nonopioid plan or the standard plan with opioids. The main goal is to compare their pain levels during the first 10 days after surgery.
