Summary

This study tested the safety and comfort of a new type of birth control ring that doesn't use hormones. Instead, it releases antibodies designed to trap sperm. Fourteen healthy women used a placebo version of the ring to help researchers understand how comfortable and acceptable the device feels before developing the active version.
