First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests a new headband ultrasound device (SONAS) to detect abnormal blood flow shunts in the heart or lungs of adults with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). Participants wear the headband during a standard bubble echo test, and both methods are compared. The goal is to see if SONAS can accurately find shunts without needing a chest ultrasound.
