Cancer patients try Needle-Free test for chemotherapy side effect

NCT ID NCT04448301

Summary

This study tested a new device called PointCheck, which uses a camera to check for dangerously low white blood cell counts in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. The goal was to see if the device was easy and safe to use, and to get an early idea of how well its readings matched standard blood tests. Researchers enrolled 81 patients to try the device in a clinic and in a simulated home setting.
