New scan could predict liver crises without surgery

NCT ID NCT06181409

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple, non-invasive scan can accurately detect and monitor high blood pressure in the liver (portal hypertension) in people with advanced liver disease. Researchers will follow 200 participants to see if the scan results can predict serious liver complications before they happen. The goal is to find a safer, easier way to identify which patients are at highest risk and need closer monitoring.
