New scanner could spot brain tumor types without a biopsy
NCT ID NCT06294418
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This small pilot study looked at whether a new type of MRI, called Field Cycling Imaging (FCI), can tell apart different subtypes of low grade gliomas in people who have already had surgery. Nine participants each received one FCI scan. The goal was to see if this non-invasive technique could provide useful information about tumor types without needing another procedure.
