Quick scan could replace risky heart catheter tests
NCT ID NCT07222813
Summary
This study is testing a non-invasive liver scan as a safer way to detect dangerous fluid buildup in people with heart failure. It aims to provide an alternative to the current standard procedure, which involves inserting a catheter into the heart and carries risks like bleeding and infection. The research will involve about 150 adults with heart failure who are already scheduled for the invasive catheter test to see how well the scan's results match up.
