Could a simple stool test replace colonoscopy for cancer screening in cystic fibrosis?
NCT ID NCT05362344
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a stool-based test can accurately detect colorectal cancer and precancerous polyps in adults with cystic fibrosis, compared to the standard colonoscopy. About 350 participants will provide stool samples before their routine colonoscopy. The goal is to find a less invasive screening option that works well for this high-risk group.
