Home stool test study aims to ease colon cancer screening for cystic fibrosis patients
NCT ID NCT05362344
Summary
This study is testing whether two types of at-home stool tests can be as effective as a colonoscopy for detecting colon cancer and pre-cancerous growths in adults with cystic fibrosis. 350 participants who are already scheduled for a routine colonoscopy will collect stool samples at home and then complete their colonoscopy. Researchers will compare the results of the stool tests to the colonoscopy findings to see how accurate the at-home tests are.
