Forehead sensor could replace risky brain surgery for pressure monitoring

NCT ID NCT06453733

Summary

This study is testing a new forehead-mounted device called Crainio that aims to measure pressure inside the skull without surgery. It will be tested on 54 adults with traumatic brain injury who are already having standard, invasive pressure monitoring as part of their care. The goal is to see if the new, painless sensor can accurately detect dangerous pressure levels, potentially avoiding the need for risky surgical procedures in the future.
