Finger cuff could replace painful artery catheter in brain surgery
NCT ID NCT07246148
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive finger-cuff device can safely replace the standard, more invasive artery catheter for monitoring blood pressure during a procedure to treat unruptured brain aneurysms. Researchers will compare the two methods in 50 patients to see if the finger cuff detects dangerous blood pressure changes just as reliably. The goal is to find a safer, more comfortable way to monitor patients without increasing risks.
