Summary
This study looks at whether a specific kind of blood vessel that grows under the retina in age-related macular degeneration (AMD) might actually help preserve vision, rather than harm it. Researchers will follow 73 people aged 50 and older with AMD to compare vision and eye structure in areas with and without these vessels. The goal is to understand if these vessels slow down vision loss, which could change how doctors think about treating AMD.
