First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether blocking out noise from cars, planes, and trains with earplugs can reduce stress and lower the risk of heart disease. Researchers will study 26 adults who are bothered by noise or live in noisy areas and have heart disease risk factors. Participants will either use earplugs at night or not, and after 6 months, brain scans and stress tests will check for changes. The goal is to understand if reducing noise exposure can improve heart health.
