Gentler touch for heart veins? study tests new bypass method
NCT ID NCT03501303
Summary
This study tested if a gentler method for taking a leg vein for heart bypass surgery works better than the standard method. The 'no-touch' technique leaves more tissue around the vein to potentially keep it healthier. Researchers followed 902 patients for two years to see if this gentler approach led to fewer blocked bypass grafts.
