Doctors test whether some breast cancer patients can skip lymph node surgery
NCT ID NCT07370571
Summary
This study is creating an international registry to track what happens when doctors skip lymph node surgery for certain early-stage breast cancer patients. It will follow about 827 patients whose scans show no cancer in their armpit lymph nodes to see if avoiding this surgery is safe and effective. The main goal is to gather real-world data on cancer recurrence and quality of life over five years.
