Can a pill push elite athletes past their peak?

NCT ID NCT05878119

Summary

This study tested whether a supplement called MIB-626 (NMN), with or without a special intense exercise program, could boost physical and mental performance in already very fit young adults. 124 healthy, regularly exercising participants were randomly assigned to take either the NMN supplement or a placebo, and to either follow their usual routine or a new high-intensity workout plan for 10 weeks. Researchers measured changes in fitness, muscle power, and brain function to see if the supplement provided any extra benefit.
