New immune cell therapy tested in Children's brain tumors

Summary
This early-stage study is testing the safety of a new treatment for children and young adults with recurrent or worsening malignant brain tumors. Doctors are injecting specially grown immune cells, called natural killer (NK) cells, directly into the tumor through a small reservoir placed during surgery. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see what side effects occur, as this is the first time this specific approach is being tried in people.
