Donor immune cells join fight against advanced throat cancer

NCT ID NCT07247201

Summary

This trial is testing whether adding donor immune cells called Natural Killer (NK) cells to standard chemotherapy and radiation can reduce cancer recurrence in patients with advanced nasopharyngeal cancer. The study will first find the safest dose of these donor cells, then test that dose in more patients to see if it lowers detectable cancer markers after treatment. Researchers hope this combination approach will help control the disease better than standard treatment alone.
