Scientists probe Body's natural cancer fighters in blood disease patients

NCT ID NCT07249476

Summary

This study aims to learn more about how the body's natural killer (NK) immune cells fight blood cancers like leukemia. Researchers will collect blood and bone marrow samples from 55 adult patients with acute leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome at diagnosis and over one year. The goal is to understand how these immune cells interact with cancer cells and how treatments like transplants and certain drugs affect them, which could inform future therapies.
