Summary

This study tests whether nivolumab, a drug that helps the immune system fight cancer, can reverse abnormal cell growth in the airways of current or former heavy smokers. Nineteen participants at high risk for lung cancer received the drug to see if it could improve or clear precancerous lesions. The goal is to prevent lung cancer from developing, but ongoing monitoring is needed.
