Laughing gas may take the edge off vasectomy anxiety

Summary

This study tests whether self-administered nitrous oxide (laughing gas) can reduce anxiety and pain during an in-office vasectomy. About 50 men will either receive the gas or a placebo (oxygen) during the procedure. Participants will fill out surveys about their anxiety and pain before, during, and after the vasectomy.
