Researchers probe troubling side effect of lung disease drug
NCT ID NCT06714812
Summary
This study aims to understand why some Caucasian patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) experience diarrhea while taking the drug nintedanib. Researchers will look back at the medical records of 100 patients to identify which personal or health factors might make someone more likely to get this side effect. They will also check if reducing the drug dose helps manage the diarrhea.
