First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested whether taking nicotinamide (a form of vitamin B3) as a pill or applying it as a cream works better for reducing precancerous skin spots called actinic keratoses on the face. 74 adults with at least three spots were randomly assigned to one of the two treatments for six months. The goal was to see which method more effectively lowers the number of spots and helps prevent skin cancer.
