First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests niclosamide, a drug previously used for tapeworm infections, combined with standard chemotherapy in children whose acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has returned or not responded to treatment. The main goal is to find a safe dose and watch for side effects. About 16 children will take part, and researchers will also check if the drug helps shrink the cancer.
