New test aims to spot hidden blood loss in pregnancy to protect newborns
NCT ID NCT07371520
Summary
This study is testing a new measurement method to detect when a baby's blood leaks into the mother's bloodstream during pregnancy, a condition called fetomaternal hemorrhage. Researchers will follow 100 pregnant women at high risk for this problem to see if this test can better predict which newborns will develop a serious blood disorder called hemolytic disease. The goal is to improve early diagnosis so doctors can provide timely care.
