Could a common vein finder be the key to spotting a hidden nerve disorder?
NCT ID NCT07029191
Summary
This small pilot study tested if a standard medical device used to find veins for injections could also help diagnose dysautonomia. Dysautonomia is a disorder where the body's automatic nervous system doesn't work properly, affecting things like blood pressure and heart rate. Researchers used the scanner on 12 healthy volunteers while they changed positions, to see if it could detect normal vein changes that might be missing in people with the condition.
