Could a simple scan replace the needle for liver disease?
NCT ID NCT07270601
Summary
This study is testing a new ultrasound method to measure fat in the liver. It aims to provide a simpler, non-invasive way to detect and monitor fatty liver disease (MASLD) compared to current methods like MRI or biopsy. Researchers will compare the new ultrasound tool's results against the current gold-standard MRI scan in 110 participants, including healthy volunteers and people with suspected liver disease.
