New hope for Tough-to-Treat bowel disease

Summary

This study is testing a new drug called BCD-261 for adults with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis who haven't gotten enough relief from standard treatments. About 198 participants will receive either the new drug at different doses or a placebo to see which works better at calming the disease. The main goal is to see if the drug can help patients achieve clinical remission, meaning their symptoms and bowel inflammation are greatly reduced.
