Summary

This study tested three different non-invasive treatments to help people who have trouble swallowing after a stroke or due to Parkinson's disease. The treatments included a gentle brain stimulation technique called tDCS and a muscle stimulation therapy. The goal was to see if these approaches could improve swallowing safety and function. The study involved 110 adults and compared the active treatments to a placebo (sham) group.
