New hope for patients with Hard-to-Treat pituitary tumors

Summary
This study is testing whether the drug pasireotide can help control prolactinoma tumors in people who cannot take or don't respond to standard dopamine agonist medications. Researchers will enroll about 10 adults who are not candidates for surgery to see if pasireotide safely lowers prolactin hormone levels and shrinks tumors. This is for patients who have run out of other treatment options.
