New drug combo tested to boost leukemia transplant success

Summary
This study is testing which of two drug regimens works better to prepare patients with high-risk or hard-to-treat acute leukemia for a stem cell transplant. The goal is to see if one regimen leads to fewer cancer relapses and better survival over two years after the transplant. The study will involve about 48 patients aged 15-65 who have acute myeloid or lymphoblastic leukemia.
