New device could make colon polyp removal safer and faster

NCT ID NCT07263997

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new traction device called SureTrac to help doctors remove large colorectal lesions (precancerous growths) more easily. The device pulls the lesion upward during a procedure called submucosal dissection, which may make the surgery faster, safer, and more likely to remove the entire lesion in one piece. The trial will include 30 adults with colorectal lesions larger than 2 cm who are eligible for this type of removal.
