Surgeons test 'Tunnel' method to prevent voice loss in thyroid operations
NCT ID NCT07298616
Summary
This study is testing a new surgical technique called the 'Huaxi Tunnel Technique' during thyroid surgery. The goal is to better protect the nerves that control vocal cords, which can be accidentally damaged during surgery leading to hoarseness or breathing problems. Researchers will compare this new method against traditional surgery in 700 patients to see if it reduces nerve injury, bleeding, and improves voice outcomes after surgery.
