Needle procedure aims to zap thyroid lumps without surgery
NCT ID NCT07226804
Summary
This study is testing a new, non-surgical procedure called nanosecond pulsed field ablation (nsPFA) to shrink benign thyroid nodules. It will enroll 30 adults who have a large, bothersome nodule causing symptoms like trouble swallowing or a feeling of pressure. Researchers will track how much the nodules shrink and whether the procedure improves patients' quality of life and is safe.
