Mayo clinic tests 'Sound Touch' imaging to spot thyroid cancer
NCT ID NCT06207188
Summary
This study is testing new ultrasound imaging techniques that use sound waves to measure tissue stiffness and movement. Researchers want to see if these methods can better identify which thyroid nodules are cancerous and which are benign, potentially reducing unnecessary biopsies. The study involves 650 participants who have or are suspected to have thyroid nodules or cancer.
