New scan could spot hidden thyroid cancer better

NCT ID NCT05575440

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET/CT scan using a tracer called F-18 TFB to see if it can find recurrent or spreading thyroid cancer more accurately than current standard scans. Researchers will enroll 24 adults with papillary or follicular thyroid cancer who are already scheduled for a standard iodine scan. The goal is to see if this new scan provides clearer information to help doctors make better treatment decisions.
