Breakthrough pregnancy test could spot diabetes risk earlier

NCT ID NCT06048510

Summary

This study aims to find better ways to predict which pregnant women will develop gestational diabetes and have babies with high birth weight (macrosomia). Researchers will test 800 pregnant women using new markers (skin autofluorescence and glycated albumin) and compare them to the standard blood test. The goal is to improve early detection and potentially prevent complications for both mother and baby.
