Three-Minute skin test could spot Chemo's hidden nerve damage in kids

NCT ID NCT04262778

Summary

This study tested a new, quick, and non-invasive skin test to see if it could accurately detect nerve damage in children caused by chemotherapy. The test measures sweat gland function, which is linked to small nerve fibers often damaged by treatment. Researchers compared this new test to standard clinical exams in 55 children aged 5-17 who were starting neurotoxic chemotherapy.
