New medical device could simplify diagnosis of painful bowel condition
NCT ID NCT04155307
Summary
This study tested whether a new medical device called EndoFLIP® could help doctors better diagnose anismus, a condition where muscles don't relax properly during bowel movements, causing constipation. Researchers enrolled 61 adults with chronic constipation to compare the new device against standard diagnostic tests. The goal was to see if EndoFLIP® could be a more accurate and simpler tool for identifying this common problem.
