Major trial tests new shot to stop tuberculosis
NCT ID NCT06272812
Summary
This study is testing a new tuberculosis (TB) vaccine called MTBVAC to see if it can prevent people from getting TB disease. It will involve 5,500 healthy teenagers and adults, aged 14-45, who live in a region where TB is common. Participants will receive either the vaccine or a placebo (a dummy shot) and be followed for up to 3 years to compare how many in each group develop TB.
