Blood test breakthrough could speed up TB treatment monitoring

NCT ID NCT06845618

Summary

This study aims to see if a new blood test can track how well tuberculosis (TB) treatment is working. Researchers will measure tiny pieces of TB bacteria DNA in the blood of 140 people in Thailand before and during their treatment. The goal is to find a faster way to monitor treatment response than current slow methods, which could help develop better TB drugs in the future.
