Summary

This study tests a new lab method that looks for TB DNA in fluid around the lungs. It aims to diagnose tuberculous pleurisy more accurately than current tests, reducing the need for invasive procedures and speeding up treatment. Researchers will study 400 adults with new-onset pleural effusion from different countries.
